This craft is inexpensive yet high-end looking and adds character and color to your home for spring time! I first made mine three years ago and still put it our every year. Happy St Patrick’s Day! Some green (and blue, pink, red, and lots of colors!) for your feed.☘️🌈

Recently when I asked for constructive feedback on my Instagram page I was told (among other things): “My first thought in going through your page is that I don’t know what a single full room in your home looks like. Your home is your credibility in your niche, and you need to showcase the full thing in order for your followers to feel attached to the spaces you’re sharing.”

Have you ever received “advice” that feels off? Mentoring another person - no matter the field - is a privilege. It’s SO important to make a sandwich when providing critique: start with positive (the bread), continue with constructive feedback that’s valuable and helpful (the meat and cheee), and close by uplifting and inspiring (the other slice of bread).

I’ve been sharing the evolution of the spaces and rooms in my home since 2021. Through the joy of hosting both of our mothers’ weddings, the darkness of postpartum depression, coming to terms with the fact that I have ADHD, the chaos of motherhood - working a full-time job AND a side hustle while raising two very active boys…and managing a household with my husband. This is not a showhouse, it’s our home. It really does look as you see it in the photos, AND it gets messy and then we tidy it up again. If you watch my stories I promise, you’ll see!

For those of you who’ve been here since the beginning and those who are new - THANK YOU. Having this platform to share my creativity with you is a privilege - and I am grateful!

Cushing green is part of Benjamin Moore’s historical color palette (HC-125). Whether you use it as your main or accent color, this rich green tone feels sophisticated, calm, warm and welcoming. Here I’ve paired it with BM Swiss Coffee, a warm, creamy white color. Tonight in stories: I’m taking more of a deep dive into why I chose this paint color for this particular room in our home👩🏻‍🎨📖
